Spring in Pagosa Springs!
Check out the 5 day forecast located at the bottom of the page!

The Pagosa Springs Golf Club has 27 holes open to the public. The driving range is open for practice and the pro shop and cafe are also open.Enjoy discounted golf through May 14th - $35 includes your cart! Visit www.GolfPagosa.com.

Although there is no snow on the ground in Pagosa Springs, most of the forest service roads remain closed for maintenance and to keep cars off in spring weather conditions. Check with the Forest Service for road opening dates. If you like to hike, take advantage of Reservoir Hill park, located right downtown off of Hot Springs Blvd. and San Juan Street near the visitor's center. There is a parking area and a map of the trails that lead up the hill. The hike is easy enough for toddlers but also offers more difficult trails for runners and mountain bikers.

Surfing in Pagosa Springs
Surfs Up! J.P. on the San Juan river in May of 2006.

The river walk is a public trail that follows the San Juan river downtown. Enjoy a walk and hear the sounds of the water rushing past, or stop and have a picnic at one of the tables located along the river. Kids love to climb on the large rocks that line the river across from the Hot Springs resort and in the evening, you can sit there and watch the rafters and boaters navigate the spring waters.

Spring conditions for fishing: the water in the San Juan is running high and is not very clear for fishing. Because many of the forest service roads are closed, it will be hard to get into the higher creeks without a hike until sometime in May.
