This 20-year celebration brings together the Patty Aragon Green Chile Classic, commercial salsa competition, margarita contest, beer garden, live Latin music, vendors, kids fun, and on-site green chile roasting.
Event Admission: $10 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free.
Event Tastings: Green chile tasting trays, salsa tasting, and margarita tasting tickets are sold separately once you are inside the event. There are no pre-sales for tastings, and they can sell out, so please arrive early.
Schedule: Gates open at 12:00 PM. Tastings begin at 12:30 PM. Live music runs 12:30-5:00 PM.
Some proceeds benefit the Patty Aragon Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This Friday, August 28th, I’m beginning a new 4-Week Fundamentals Beginner Wire Wrapping Series at the Pagosa Springs Visitor Center.
For this week, students have the option of signing up for the complete four-week series at the discounted rate of $180 for all four classes — $45 per class — plus a one-time $40 materials kit fee. The materials kit covers all four classes and also gives students supplies to continue practicing and creating at home.

Students who don’t want to commit to the full series can also attend the classes individually for $65 per class, materials included.
This Friday’s first class is all about spirals — one of the fundamental techniques used in wire jewelry making. Students will learn how to create spirals and use what they learn to make their own spiral earrings to take home.

The Mountain Chile Cha Cha returns Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Yamaguchi Park in Pagosa Springs. This 20-year celebration brings together the Patty Aragon Green Chile Classic, commercial salsa competition, margarita contest, beer garden, live Latin music, vendors, kids fun, and on-site green chile roasting.
Event Admission: $10 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free.
Event Tastings: Green chile tasting trays, salsa tasting, and margarita tasting tickets are sold separately once you are inside the event. There are no pre-sales for tastings, and they can sell out, so please arrive early.
Schedule: Gates open at 12:00 PM. Tastings begin at 12:30 PM. Live music runs 12:30-5:00 PM.
Some proceeds benefit the Patty Aragon Memorial Scholarship Fund.
