Give your child the extra boost they deserve! The Pagosa Community Initiative offers a fun and supportive tutoring program that helps students grow in reading and math while building confidence, comprehension, and a love for learning.

Get ready to move, groove, and have a blast! Our Hip Hop class for ages 5–8 is packed with high-energy music, fun choreography, and creative expression. Dancers will learn the basics of hip hop movement, rhythm, and coordination in a supportive and upbeat environment. Through games, across-the-floor exercises, and age-appropriate combos, kids build confidence, musicality, and style while making new friends. No experience needed—just bring your energy and get ready to shine!

Calling all 4th–8th graders who love storytelling, creativity, and epic quests! Our Dungeons & Dragons Club is the perfect place for students to work together, use their imaginations, and solve problems — all while having fun. No experience is needed; we’ll teach the basics and guide everyone through exciting adventures.

Who: 4th-8th Grade Students

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM- Starting October 14th and running through May 21st, 2026.

Where: The Studios by PCI, 550 B Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs CO 8114

Transportation & Pick-Up: – If attending the public Middle School, PCI will transport your students from the Middle school to the Studios. – If attending another school/program, please drop your student off at 4pm, to the Studios, 550 B Hot Springs Blvd.- Parents must pick up their child no later than 5:00pm from the Studios (location above), unless they are approved to walk home on their own. If you would like to sign a permission slip for walking home, please reach out to youth@pagosacommunityinitiative.org with your students name and the request. We will send it through Brightwheel with the other paperwork.

Miss Vivy’s got the moves! This high-energy class is designed just for teens who love K-pop! Learn choreography inspired by your favorite idols while building confidence, coordination, stage presence, and performance skills. Each week, dancers will work on fun combinations set to today’s hottest K-pop hits, with a focus on sharp movements, musicality, style, and expression. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to dance, make friends, and shine like a star!

Colorado Pint Day is an annual statewide celebration of craft beer culture, and we’re going big this year. On April 29th, Riff Raff Brewing Company will be joining breweries across the state to raise a glass — and we’ve got even more reason to celebrate. This year marks the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood and the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America, and we think that calls for something special.

In honor of both milestones, we’ll be pre-releasing an exclusive commemorative beer blended specifically for the occasion — details on this soon-to-be-revealed brew are coming soon, and trust us, it’s worth the wait. We’ll also have a limited run of commemorative pint glasses available for purchase, and with every glass purchase you’ll receive a complimentary fill of our commemorative beer. Join the PCI Pokémon Club!
Calling all Trainers in grades 5–8! Whether you’re a seasoned battler, a card collector, or just love talking all things Pokémon, this club is for you. Trade, play, learn new strategies, and connect with fellow fans in a fun, friendly environment. Catch you there!

Who: 5th-8th Grade Students–> ALL SCHOOLS/HOMESCHOOL WELCOME!

When: Wednesdays, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM- Starting January 7th, 2026 and running through May 21st, 2026.

Where: Pagosa Springs Middle School- Miss Hemenger’s Class

Transportation & Pick-Up: – If attending the public Middle School, your student will meet PCI staff outside by the ramp at the 7th/8th grade building. They will be checked in and go to Miss Hemenger’s room for a snack and game play!- If attending another school/program, please drop your student off at 3:30pm to the 7th/8th grade building of the Pagosa Springs Middle School. They will be checked in and go to Miss Hemenger’s room for a snack and game play!- Parents must pick up their child no later than 5:30pm from the middle school, unless they are approved to walk home on their own. When arriving at the middle school, please just park and message the PCI staff through Brightwheel that you are there for your student. We will have them clean up and head out. If you would like to sign a permission slip for walking home, please reach out to youth@pagosacommunityinitiative.org with your students name and the request. We will send it through Brightwheel with the other paperwork.

Quiz for a Cause at Uncle’s Social, a fun-filled weekly trivia night where your knowledge can make a difference. Starts at 6:30pm. $10 per team.

Each month we support a different local non-profit, with all proceeds going directly to their important work. Gather your friends, test your trivia skills, and help us give back to the community while having great time! Don’t miss out on the chance to learn, laugh, and contribute to a worthy cause!  Teams can range from 1 person to 6 max.  The first question is asked at 6:30pm sharp so arrive early to get settled.   Come Hungry!  

Alright Pagosa, this is gonna be one heck of a great night of music! Wednesday, April 29th, 7pm @ the PSHS auditorium. Students from the Americana Project class will open the show followed by the very funky, roots based, soul and afro-peruvian groove band MOJO BIRDS! Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and 12 and under free. Tickets available at the door only. Doors open at 6:30pm. Please help us spread the word and support music in the public schools!

Mommy & Me at Uptown Dance Collective is a joyful first movement class for children from newborns to toddlers and their grown-up. 

Through music, songs, props, and playful dance games, little ones build coordination, rhythm, and body awareness—while staying close to a trusted adult.

Caregivers move right alongside their child as we wiggle, stomp, twirl, and freeze, creating a safe, welcoming first classroom experience. There’s no pressure to perform—just connection, confidence, and fun.

Perfect for toddlers not quite ready to dance solo, Mommy & Me celebrates every stage: shy, curious, wiggly, or wild. Come as you are and enjoy a sweet weekly ritual of movement and togetherness.

Tai Chi on Thursdays at Yamaguchi Park! Classes are free for older adults (age 55 and better) and will last approximately 1 hour in the dining hall. No special clothing or equipment is required for either class.

Tai Chi and mindfulness based meditation are not martial arts, but rather tools for self-healing. Softness, flow and effortlessness are the guiding principles in these practices. For Tai Chi, it will include 19 easy to learn movements and one pose designed to stimulate, circulate and balance the vital energy, or universal life force, referred to as ‘Qi’, which is inherent in all of us. Tai Chi is often thought of as a moving meditation because of the calming effect on the mind and emotions, and the release of tension throughout the body.
