LIBERTY THEATRE PRESENTS: LUCY CLEARWATER-SINGER/SONGWRITER. Tickets are $15 and available at PagosaMovies.com.
Born in a bathtub in a cookie factory in California, Lucy Clearwater is an acoustic folk/Americana singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and nature-loving old soul with a background in classical violin. Since moving to LA in 2016, she’s released numerous singles and EPs (Feel Again, Casual, Augenlieder, and April), sold out beloved venues like The Hotel Cafe, and graced the stage at iconic venues such as The Troubadour, The Roxy, and The El Rey.
Drawing inspiration from the artists she grew up listening to such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, and Lucinda Williams, she spent most of 2024 touring internationally, and sharing the stage with artists like Joe Pug, John Craigie, Madison Cunningham, Victoria Canal, Ocie Eliott, Ye Vagabonds, Philine Sonny, and Luca Fogale to name a few. Clearwater won the 2024 New Folk Competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and returned for a notable performance on the main stage in 2025. Her heartfelt, vulnerable songwriting and rich acoustic sound resonate deeply.
With a handful of singles from her debut LP already released, Clearwater’s full length album, “People ≠ Possessions” produced by Grammy award winner Tyler Chester was released May 14th 2026 followed by a celebratory release show May 15th at Sid The Cat Auditorium in Los Angeles, followed by a headline tour of the West Coast and more this June. Tissues are a good accessory at any Lucy Clearwater concert!
Special guest opener Megan Burt, international touring singer/songwriter, 2010 winner of Rocky Mountain Folk Festival.

NEW RELEASE | 2H 5M | PG 13 | 2026 JULY 3 & 5 Young Washington is a
Young Washington is a 2026 American epic historical war drama film directed, produced, and co-written by Jon Erwin. It is based on the early life of the Founding Father and first president of the United States, George Washington and focuses on his experiences and command in the French and Indian War.
Before he was the Father of a Nation, he was a soldier fighting to survive. A single misstep thrusts young George Washington into the center of a global conflict, testing his honor, loyalty, and courage. As alliances crumble and the frontier erupts into war, he must confront not only his enemies but the man he’s becoming.
Young Washington tells the untold origin story of a 22-year-old George Washington, set against the backdrop of colonial America. After a costly mistake sparks the French and Indian War, he must confront failure, loss, and the burden of leadership, forging the character that will define a nation’s first president. Timed for America’s 250th anniversary, it promises sweeping historical drama with themes of resilience, making it a potentially stirring watch for history and epic drama fans.

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a 1972 concert film directed by Adrian Maben with the English rock band Pink Floyd performing at the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy.
The band performed a typical live set from the era, but there was no audience beyond the basic film crew. The main footage in and around the amphitheatre was filmed over four days in October 1971, using the band’s regular touring equipment, including a mobile 8-track recorder from Paris[4] (before being bumped up to 16-track in post-production).[5] Additional footage filmed in a Paris television studio the following December was added for the original 1972 release. The film was then re-released in 1974 with additional studio material of the band working on The Dark Side of the Moon, and interviews at Abbey Road Studios.

A Special Documentary Screening & Community Conversation
Last year, Pagosa Springs experienced two devastating natural disasters just 60 days apart—a rapidly spreading wildfire followed by record-breaking floods. As our community continues to recover and rebuild, one important question remains:
How can we better prepare for the extremes ahead?
Join us at the Liberty Theatre for Beyond the Embers, a powerful new documentary produced by Christi Bode/Moxiecran Media that explores the challenges our community has faced and the resilience that has emerged in response.
This special evening is more than a film screening—it’s an opportunity to come together as neighbors, learn from recent events, and engage in an important conversation about the future of Pagosa Springs.
Whether you lived through these events firsthand or simply care deeply about our community’s future, Beyond the Embers promises an evening of reflection, education, and hope.
Join the conversation. Honor our resilience. Help shape what comes next.

FUNDRAISER for LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS. Tickets are $25.
Join or Die, a film about why you should join a club, and why the fate of America depends on it.
The League of Women Voters of Archuleta County is pleased to present the award-winning documentary Join or Die! as part of Pagosa’s 250/150 week of celebration. This entertaining film shows the importance of civic engagement in maintaining a healthy democracy—and a healthy mind and body! After the screening, we will have a “joining fair” featuring key local nonprofit agencies. Money raised will fund the nonpartisan League’s central mission here locally: to facilitate community dialogue, increase election participation, and educate the electorate on local issues of importance.

American Graffiti (1973) is a coming-of-age comedy-drama set in 1962 Modesto, California, following four friends over one summer night as they cruise, confront life choices, and navigate relationships. Directed by George Lucas, produced by Francis Ford Coppola, written by Lucas, Gloria Katz, and Willard Huyck, and starring Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Paul Le Mat, Charles Martin Smith, Candy Clark, Mackenzie Phillips, Cindy Williams, and Wolfman Jack. Chimney Rock National Monument, recently designated an International Dark Sky Park, is a quiet, wonderful place to observe the night sky, far away from city lights and distracting noises. And at a lofty altitude of 7,200 feet, the Monument affords a beautiful night sky. Held one night each month, this program explores why people for generations have looked at the night sky in awe and wonder. It features discussions about the ancient Puebloans’ connection to the night sky, and how even today, people are fascinated with the dark sky visible from this special spot. Interactive talks cover constellations, galaxies, and observable planets, and their locations on each specific night. Bring binoculars for personal viewing as telescopes may or may not be available.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
At this altitude, nights begin to cool rapidly after sunset, so an appropriate jacket and other gear will allow you to be comfortable. A flashlight with a red lens covering is an added bonus. This is a “rain or shine” presentation. If weather is inclement, the program will be moved inside. Not recommended for children under 5.
TICKETS
Check-in is at the Highway 151 entrance gate at the time stated below for each tour. Please adhere to the check-in timeline. The gate will be locked at the end of that time. Please note that the tour will begin promptly at the end of the check-in period, so it will not be possible to accommodate late arrivals. The fee is $20.00 for ages 13 and up, $10.00 for ages 5-12, and under 5 are free, and is considered a non-refundable and non-transferable donation. Making a reservation through the Recreation.gov website or the call center (877-444-6777) is the only way to guarantee a spot for this tour. Recreation.gov charges a $1.00 reservation fee that is non-refundable. To ensure this tour is scheduled, reservations are strongly recommended. Reservations will be cut off 12 hours prior to the start of the tour.
This program is rarely at full capacity prior to the event, and we will accommodate walk-ins if space is available. They will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and must arrive during the specified check-in time frame. Tour tickets can be purchased at the Gift Shop. Note: if no one has signed up for the tour by online reservation within the allotted time frame, the tour will not run. In such a case, walk-ins will not be possible. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Refunds will be issued only for cancelled – not modified – tours/programs.

IYou’ve lived before and you will live again.
By the time I was in my early 20s, I had concluded that I had lived before. It was a very strong feeling. Although I had no idea how to prove it, I continued to search for answers. Eventually, by studying the dream teachings of ECKANKAR I began to have dream experiences that showed me how my past lives and the karma I created during those lives, were showing up in my life today. It gave me understanding, and often compassion for those experiences.
What to expect:
• Share your experiences with other like-hearted people!
• Learn ways to handle challenges from a spiritual perspective
• Discover techniques to access your past lives
• Gain an understanding of reincarnation
Drop in! Join the Spiritual Experiences Group of Pagosa Springs for the event: Past Lives, Present Lessons. We meet on Sunday, July 19th, 1:00p, at the Pagosa Lakes Clubhouse, 230 Port Ave, in Pagosa Springs.
Eckankar, the Path of Spiritual Freedom, a spiritual resource for people of all faiths and backgrounds, sponsors this free event. It is an individual, creative practice to experience our unique relationship with the Divine.

ROCK TUESDAY | 1H 19M | RATED R | 1968
On a beautiful June weekend in 1967, at the beginning of the Summer of Love, the Monterey International Pop Festival roared forward, capturing a decade’s spirit and ushering in a new era of rock and roll. Monterey featured career-making performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Otis Redding, but they were just a few of the performers in a wildly diverse lineup that included Simon and Garfunkel, the Mamas and the Papas, the Who, the Byrds, Hugh Masekela, and the extraordinary Ravi Shankar. With his characteristic vérité style—and a camera crew that included the likes of Albert Maysles and Richard Leacock—D. A. Pennebaker captured it all, immortalizing moments that have become legend: Pete Townshend smashing his guitar, Jimi Hendrix burning his, Mama Cass watching Janis Joplin’s performance in awe. This fiftieth-anniversary edition presents Monterey Pop in a new 4K restoration

This program is offered once a month to coincide with the full moon and provide a unique backdrop in this International Dark Sky Park with a sky unhindered by lights of modern-day civilization. Thus, check-in times will vary in accordance with the rise time of the moon.
About an hour before moonrise, visitors will be treated to an informative lecture on topics specific to the Chimney Rock site — ancestral Puebloan culture, archeoastronomy theories, area geology, etc. Then – as the full moon begins to rise – a single flute note follows another and another as you become slowly embraced by the music of Charles Martinez. You’ll be torn between looking west to see the spectacular sunset or focusing on the eastern mountain range to see the first sliver of moon.
Special Note:
Visitors are offered the option to take an early, guided tour of the Mesa Village Trail before the Full Moon program. This Early Tour/Full Moon Package is $30.00 and is available through the Recreation.gov website or the call center (877-444-6777) under the title Early Tour/Full Moon Package. Check-in times are listed in the Early Tour/Full Moon Package description.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
The entire program lasts approximately three hours including check-in, driving to the mesa top (2.5 miles up a winding dirt road with 20-mph speed limit – allow 15 minutes each way) and hiking the Great House Trail. At the end of the trail, visitors will enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view from atop the mesa ridge. They will also be afforded the closest view possible of the two pinnacles: Chimney Rock and Companion Rock. Please keep in mind that the lecture before the moonrise is approximately 30 minutes in length, and the hike back down the high mesa occurs after dark.
The hike up to the Chacoan Great House Pueblo may be difficult for some due to the steep gradient, uneven footing, and elevation ending at 7600 feet. The elevation gain is 200 feet. Participants should be in reasonable physical condition and willing to hike mostly uphill for 1/3 mile (and return steeply downhill). This program is not suitable for children under 8, and parents are asked to closely supervise their attending children for the safety of all attendees. Water, flashlights, and a blanket or mat for ground seating (no chairs) are recommended.
TICKETS
Check-in is at the Highway 151 entrance gate at the time stated below for each program. Please adhere to the check-in timeline. The gate will be promptly locked at the end of that time. Tickets are $20.00 per person. Making a reservation through the Recreation.gov website or the call center (877-444-6777) is the only way to guarantee a spot for this program. This program often sells out; reservations are strongly recommended. Recreation.gov charges a $1.00 reservation fee that is non-refundable.
