Pick-Up:
Parents must pick up their child by 5:00 PM from Pagosa Springs Elementary School.

Communication & Paperwork:
All families will need to download the Brightwheel app for forms and communication. Please complete all paperwork before your child’s first day.

Slow down, stretch out, and reconnect with your body in this grounding Hatha Yoga class. Through a series of gentle postures, mindful breathing, and simple alignment techniques, students build strength, flexibility, and balance at a relaxed, steady pace. This class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a calm, supportive environment to improve mobility, reduce stress, and leave feeling refreshed and centered.

About the teacher- Rain has been a yoga practitioner since the age of 12. She is an active yogi who also teaches meditation, sound bathing and creativity classes. She trained in the Shambhavananda School of Yoga ashram and now endeavors to share her love of movement and mindfulness in her hometown of Pagosa Springs Colorado.

Film Club is for high school students who want to tell stories through film. Work as a team to plan, shoot, and edit a short movie while learning real-world filmmaking skills—on camera and behind the scenes.

Who: 9th- 12th grade students

When: Starting February 3rd and running through April 28th, 2026.

Where: Pagosa Springs Highschool Art Room- Mrs. Lewis’ art classroom

Calling all 4th–8th graders who love storytelling, creativity, and epic quests! Our Dungeons & Dragons Club is the perfect place for students to work together, use their imaginations, and solve problems — all while having fun. No experience is needed; we’ll teach the basics and guide everyone through exciting adventures.

Who: 4th-8th Grade Students

When: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM- Starting October 14th and running through May 21st, 2026.

Where: The Studios by PCI, 550 B Hot Springs Blvd, Pagosa Springs CO 8114

Transportation & Pick-Up: – If attending the public Middle School, PCI will transport your students from the Middle school to the Studios. – If attending another school/program, please drop your student off at 4pm, to the Studios, 550 B Hot Springs Blvd.- Parents must pick up their child no later than 5:00pm from the Studios (location above), unless they are approved to walk home on their own. If you would like to sign a permission slip for walking home, please reach out to youth@pagosacommunityinitiative.org with your students name and the request. We will send it through Brightwheel with the other paperwork.

Liberty Theatre hosts THE ENGINE INSIDE: RIDING TOWARDS A BETTER FUTURE, a film fundraiser supporting DUST 2 NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION on Tuesday, April 21st at 6pm.

For the past century, our society has grappled with the unintended consequences of a car-centric culture. Follow the lives of six individuals from diverse backgrounds who have devoted themselves to a simple, age-old machine – the bicycle. Through their struggles and challenges, witness how bicycles have the potential to transform lives and contribute to a better world. Six people from different worlds dedicate their lives to a simple, age-old machine: the bicycle. Facing overwhelming challenges, their stories reveal the power within us to build a better world.

Where: Pagosa Springs Middle School- Miss Hemenger’s Class

Transportation & Pick-Up: – If attending the public Middle School, your student will meet PCI staff outside by the ramp at the 7th/8th grade building. They will be checked in and go to Miss Hemenger’s room for a snack and game play!- If attending another school/program, please drop your student off at 3:30pm to the 7th/8th grade building of the Pagosa Springs Middle School. They will be checked in and go to Miss Hemenger’s room for a snack and game play!- Parents must pick up their child no later than 5:30pm from the middle school, unless they are approved to walk home on their own. When arriving at the middle school, please just park and message the PCI staff through Brightwheel that you are there for your student. We will have them clean up and head out. If you would like to sign a permission slip for walking home, please reach out to youth@pagosacommunityinitiative.org with your students name and the request. Get ready to move, groove, and have a blast! Our Hip Hop class for ages 5–8 is packed with high-energy music, fun choreography, and creative expression. Dancers will learn the basics of hip hop movement, rhythm, and coordination in a supportive and upbeat environment. Through games, across-the-floor exercises, and age-appropriate combos, kids build confidence, musicality, and style while making new friends. No experience needed—just bring your energy and get ready to shine!

Miss Vivy’s got the moves! This high-energy class is designed just for teens who love K-pop! Learn choreography inspired by your favorite idols while building confidence, coordination, stage presence, and performance skills. Each week, dancers will work on fun combinations set to today’s hottest K-pop hits, with a focus on sharp movements, musicality, style, and expression. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to dance, make friends, and shine like a star!

The Geothermal Greenhouse Partnership (GGP) presents a FILM FESTIVAL CELEBRATING EARTH DAY on Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30pm. Proceeds support the GEOTHERMAL GREENHOUSE PARTNERSHIP. Tickets are $25.

The films presented are:

• Chirp Talker- 5m.
  A curious girl invents a Chirp Talker to translate birds’ secret messages, discovering nature’s hidden voice in the middle of the city.
• Global Warning- 75 m.
  An extraordinary journey across the planet showing how climate change is
  affecting our world, what it will really mean for us and what we can do about it.​
• What the River Knows- 34 m.
  For the past several years, a lost Eden drowned under Lake Powell has been re-emerging, revealing the follies of the past and a new way forward for the Colorado River. What The River Knows is a film that explores this unique inflection point in a centuries-long history. At the same time that we are met with the need to redesign our systems of water management in the West, we are presented with the opportunity to restore one of the most stunning landscapes on the planet.

Quiz for a Cause at Uncle’s Social, a fun-filled weekly trivia night where your knowledge can make a difference. Starts at 6:30pm. $10 per team.

Each month we support a different local non-profit, with all proceeds going directly to their important work. Gather your friends, test your trivia skills, and help us give back to the community while having great time! Don’t miss out on the chance to learn, laugh, and contribute to a worthy cause!  Teams can range from 1 person to 6 max.  The first question is asked at 6:30pm sharp so arrive early to get settled.   Come Hungry!

Mommy & Me at Uptown Dance Collective is a joyful first movement class for children from newborns to toddlers and their grown-up. 

Through music, songs, props, and playful dance games, little ones build coordination, rhythm, and body awareness—while staying close to a trusted adult.

Caregivers move right alongside their child as we wiggle, stomp, twirl, and freeze, creating a safe, welcoming first classroom experience. There’s no pressure to perform—just connection, confidence, and fun.

Perfect for toddlers not quite ready to dance solo, Mommy & Me celebrates every stage: shy, curious, wiggly, or wild. Come as you are and enjoy a sweet weekly ritual of movement and togetherness.

Tai Chi on Thursdays at Yamaguchi Park! Classes are free for older adults (age 55 and better) and will last approximately 1 hour in the dining hall. No special clothing or equipment is required for either class.

Tai Chi and mindfulness based meditation are not martial arts, but rather tools for self-healing. Softness, flow and effortlessness are the guiding principles in these practices. For Tai Chi, it will include 19 easy to learn movements and one pose designed to stimulate, circulate and balance the vital energy, or universal life force, referred to as ‘Qi’, which is inherent in all of us. Tai Chi is often thought of as a moving meditation because of the calming effect on the mind and emotions, and the release of tension throughout the body.

Are you ready to spread kindness and make a difference? In this club, we go on a quest to bring more smiles to our school and community through fun projects, service activities, and teamwork. Come be a kindness hero — every act of good makes our world a little brighter!

Who: 5th- 8th grade students

When: Fridays- 1:45/2pm to 4pm- Starting February 6th and running through May 22nd, 2026.

Where: Meet @ Pagosa Springs Middle school, bus to locations around town for acts of kindness, primarily to start with The Beehive Retirement home and another location on alternating Fridays. Locations will increase/alternate with notice ahead!

Pick-Up: Parents must pick up their child at 4:00 PM at the location of the day. We will provide a tentative schedule to help with this.

Hip Hop For Teens Dance Workshop with Xina

Get moving in this fun, high-energy hip hop class for teens and adults! Perfect for beginners and experienced dancers alike, this class focuses on learning dynamic choreography, improving rhythm, coordination, and confidence, and getting a great workout while having fun. Explore a variety of hip hop styles set to upbeat music in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Come ready to sweat, laugh, and unleash your inner performer!
