Hosted by the non-profit A Safe Place in Pagosa, Inc. (dba Aspen House & Aspen Services), this event is for the entire family. Run, walk, or baby stroller your way through our 5K course. This is an untimed event. You can get your white T-shirt color-coordinated by our volunteers at several color stations. The course is very user-friendly, scenic, and mostly flat so all can complete it. There will be awards/prizes for various costume categories so be creative and come decked out for some Colorful Fun!!
Registrations stay open until race day, September 20. Race day registrations are CASH ONLY!

The 19th annual Mountain Chile Cha Cha takes place September 27th from 12:30 to 5:30 at Yamaguchi Park. Chile roasting, chile cook-off, food trucks and live music. $10
The 19th annual Mountain Chile Cha Cha takes place September 27th from 12:30 to 5:30 at Yamaguchi Park. Chile roasting, chile cook-off, food trucks and live music. $10 admisison; kids 12 and under are free. Rain or shine.
Roughly 50 entrants, both amateur and professional, compete in the cook-off. Some cooks get creative; others go classic. Kids activities, games and a lively beer garden.
$15 Chile Tasting fee. Tasting trays are available at the Chile Classic tent at around 12:30 PM (get in line early to get the freshies). Tasters are entitled to 12 tastes & a vote for the People’s Choice Award.
Buy tokens for the Margarita tasting and sample one or all of the offerings!
The Mountain Chile Cha Cha, co-hosted by The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce, and will occur in Town Park, rain or shine. There is a 5K, 10K trail race for runners of all ages and abilities. There will also be a Mexican beer garden and margarita contest and tasting, where local restaurants and bars compete for the very best marg.
Prepare to have your senses tantalized with the smell of freshly roasted Hatch Green Chiles will be for sale and roasted on-site.
Cha Cha goers will also enjoy a Spanish music concert featuring Sangre Joven, a popular band that originated in the Northern New Mexico pueblo de Las Vegas.
