Andrew Lippa’s Wild Party is based on Joseph Moncure March’s 1928 narrative poem of the same name, this darkly brilliant show features one of the most exciting, pulse-racing scores ever written.

It’s the roaring 1920s and the beautiful, young Queenie, although she tries, cannot find a lover able to satisfy her desires – until she meets Burrs, a vaudevillian clown with a voracious appetite for women.

Lovers Queenie and Burrs decide to throw the party-to-end-all-parties in their Manhattan apartment. After the colorful arrival of a slew of guests living life on the edge, Queenie’s wandering eyes land on a striking man. As the decadence is reaching a climax, so is Burrs’ jealousy.

The FREE Mountain Light Music Festival’s Trombone Summit takes place on Thursday, July 31st at 7pm at Mountain Light Lodge on Friday, August 1st at 6PM.

The Mountain Light Trombone Summit in 2025 features some of the finest collegiate and faculty trombonist in the country. This week-long chamber music festival will feature guest artists and faculty Jon Whitaker (University of Illinois), Steve Wilson (University of Texas El Paso)  and Brent Phillips (Baylor University) along with auditioned students at the Mountain Light Lodge.

This concert is free and open to the public (donations accepted but not required). Bring your ATV/Side by Side and explore the Voice of Wilderness Base Camp – home of the Mountain Light Lodge. ATV parking and concert viewing available!

Broncs and Bulls is the most exciting event of the Rodeo Circuit. Cowboys and Cowgirls thrill the audience with their daredevil attitudes and athletic skills. This is the Friday night Event of the Year demonstrating the Cowboy and Cowgirl grit and determination needed to ride the rough and ready Bulls and Broncs.

​This Food Drive is planned in collaboration with local grocery stores helps the Food Distribution Center (FDC) better support the Archuleta County Food Pantry Network with foods that our neighbors can use! Stop by the Pagosa Springs City Market on Saturday May 10th
between 10 am and 1 pm to participate in the Food Drive

We invite our community to please stop by our table in front of the store before they begin their shopping trip, pick up a needed items list, and when they are done shopping drop the items off with our volunteers.  We have also provided the list here for community’s reference.

FREE live music concert at Yamaguchi Park from 5:30-8:30pm! Concert sound and great bands with proceeds from beer and wine sales at each concert benefitting a local nonprofit! The 2025 bands and dates:

Join Seeds of Learning on August 16th, 2025 at Ross Aragon Community Center, pick out your Pagosa finest dress threads, dust off the bling, and mark your calendar to attend the star-studded event of the summer, the 7th annual Dancing with the Pagosa Stars!

These generous celebrities are all people that are recognized as leaders in our community. They will partner with professional coaches from Pagosa and Durango to present a dazzling night of dancing and fun. You will be able to buy tickets to support your favorite dancers and vote as many times as you want with each vote costing $1! The celebrity raising the most money from ticket sales and voting will get bragging rights and take home the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy at the end of the night!

Proceeds from this event go to Seeds of Learning, where a sliding scale tuition is offered to meet families at their income level. Approximately 80% of the students at Seeds are at a greatly reduced tuition fee and desperately deserve a helping hand in education to succeed in life. Your contributions will allow Seeds to continue offering the high quality affordable programming that our community has come to rely on for the past 25 years.

Seeds has transformed the lives of more than 1,000 preschool aged children and their families for over 25 years.

Mass Balloon Ascension

9/20 & 21 at 8am both mornings

• Over 40 balloons fill the sky each morning for the mass balloon ascension! On Saturday morning, watch them lift off from downtown Pagosa Springs, and on Sunday, see them float over the uptown area ( Park Ave.) Free to the public.

Bands & Brews Festival with Balloon Glow

9/20 5-8pm

• Breweries from throughout Colorado and Northern New Mexico compete for “People’s Choice” along with “Brewers Choice” awards in this event.
• Enjoy tasting some unique new brews while listening to great live music all day long in Town Park/Athletic Field. Food vendors and kids activities make this a day for the whole family. As the sun sets we will be surrounded by hot air balloons for the annual “night glow.”
• Enjoy a complimentary beer tasting glass with your purchase of a Beer Tasting Ticket. Along with your glass, you will be given a wristband that will allow you to try the beer during the festival. If you don’t have a wristband you will not be served beer. 

• Food Trucks: Food will be available for purchase
