Enjoy a great documentary time lapse movie all about mushrooms; Fantastic Fungi – The Magic Beneath Us plays on Thursday, September 18 at 7pm. Come try some delicious mushroom bites by crEATe, enjoy an amazing documentary and stay for a Q&A on mushroom cultivation by Aaron from Tooth and Gill. Doors open at 6pm.

Passport to Pagosa Wine & Food Festival

9/19 from 6-9pm

• Annual wine and food festival highlighting delicious domestic and international wines with some of Pagosa’s best restaurants and food vendors.
• Included with the ticket price comes seating, wine and food tickets, and a VIP gift.
• Wonderful live entertainment with crooner Maxwell Miller will enhance the evening.
• This is a 21+ event.

Mass Balloon Ascension

9/20 & 21 at 8am both mornings

• Over 40 balloons fill the sky each morning for the mass balloon ascension! On Saturday morning, watch them lift off from downtown Pagosa Springs, and on Sunday, see them float over the uptown area ( Park Ave.) Free to the public.

Bands & Brews Festival with Balloon Glow

9/20 5-8pm

• Breweries from throughout Colorado and Northern New Mexico compete for “People’s Choice” along with “Brewers Choice” awards in this event.
• Enjoy tasting some unique new brews while listening to great live music all day long in Town Park/Athletic Field. Food vendors and kids activities make this a day for the whole family. As the sun sets we will be surrounded by hot air balloons for the annual “night glow.”
• Enjoy a complimentary beer tasting glass with your purchase of a Beer Tasting Ticket. Along with your glass, you will be given a wristband that will allow you to try the beer during the festival. If you don’t have a wristband you will not be served beer. 

• Food Trucks: Food will be available for purchase

The 19th annual Mountain Chile Cha Cha takes place September 27th from 12:30 to 5:30 at Yamaguchi Park. Chile roasting, chile cook-off, food trucks and live music. $10 admisison; kids 12 and under are free. Rain or shine.

Roughly 50 entrants, both amateur and professional, compete in the cook-off. Some cooks get creative; others go classic. Kids activities, games and a lively beer garden.

$15 Chile Tasting fee. Tasting trays are available at the Chile Classic tent at around 12:30 PM (get in line early to get the freshies). Tasters are entitled to 12 tastes & a vote for the People’s Choice Award.

Buy tokens for the Margarita tasting and sample one or all of the offerings!

The Mountain Chile Cha Cha, co-hosted by The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce, and will occur in Town Park, rain or shine. There is a 5K, 10K trail race for runners of all ages and abilities. There will also be a Mexican beer garden and margarita contest and tasting, where local restaurants and bars compete for the very best marg.

Prepare to have your senses tantalized with the smell of freshly roasted Hatch Green Chiles will be for sale and roasted on-site.
Cha Cha goers will also enjoy a Spanish music concert featuring Sangre Joven, a popular band that originated in the Northern New Mexico pueblo de Las Vegas.

Lickety-Split comedy team is back and raring to go. Join us as we perform with our local ensemble Pool of Fools and put on an evening of quick-witted quips and quirky characters – all based on your suggestions. This show is recommended for ages 16 and up!

Tickets in advance are $10+fees and are $15 at the door. 7pm.

Join Rise Above Violence for our annual Runway for Rise Recycled Fashion Gala. October 4th from 6-9pm. This FUN-raising event is sure to wow you with some frugal but fabulous outfits as teams compete to raise funds and create an amazing runway ensemble out of soda can tabs, wine corks, an element from nature, and recycled and repurposed thrifted items. Support your favorite teams by voting for them online or the night of.
