Caldwells Liberty Bar is planning our first Poetry Reading Night. 21+ event on Tuesday, May 14th @ 6pm. Caldwells Liberty Bar is at 420 Pagosa St. (Enter in the door inside the Metro Hallway, as Liberty Theatre will be closed.)
What: Guests are invited to share their own writings. May not share from other sources, just your spirit. Each guest will have 5 minutes to share their writing.
Who: Anyone 21+!
We will be limited on seating, so you will need to message us, and let us know how many people are in your party. You will receive a confirmation that you are on the list. I’m still figuring out how many people we can for comfortably. We are a small, but awesome bar!
Why: Because it’s poetry night!! It’s a chance to be brave, to hear other people’s thoughts and writings, to share your own. A chance to make someone laugh, or cry.
We are not charging a reading fee. I didn’t like those. Instead, we are doing a one drink minimum. We have a fully stocked bar, wine, and beer. We can make mocktails for those that don’t drink, or just a simple soda.
Guests may present about any subject. You are asked to not share things that are overly graphic. No racists pieces, or pieces against another group of people (religion, sexuality, etc.)
What to bring:
Bring more than one piece to share. Depending on how many readers, there may be time for more than one.
I’m crazy excited to host this poetry night! Hope to do more in the future! Don’t forget to message Caldwell’s Liberty Bar or call to reserve your spot!
